On December 10, 2015, we moved into the new building. We have extended the hours, we are now open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on weekends, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The sibi gas station does not only sell gas, diesel, oil, and propane. We are slowly making changes, we now have lumber, shing, camping, hardware, ammunition, and a convenience store.

Since 2014, Waptum's primary objective is providing quality professional consulting services to Cree Nation of Wemindji's governance and management.

STRATEGIC HIGHLIGHTS

Together with Director General and Capital Project Coordinator, we’ve succeeded in better planning, monitoring and controlling capital projects. Our supporting role in obtaining and securing funding for new projects was substantial and appreciated. Based on a creative relationship between Waptum and CNW, an annual “Service Contract” was procured to include recurring services such as advisory, training and coaching. In 2016/2017, CNW shall combine Capital Works Services and Waptum Service Contract into a Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure optimal collaboration and better communication.

Established in 2005, Wemindji Paving Inc.hav been servicing the Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee, Mont-Laurier and surrounding municipalities, Ministry of Transport (MTQ) and Hydro Québec.

We operate:

• 2 mobile asphalt plants
• Paving, crushing and screening equipment
• Portable concrete plant
• Loaders and backhoes

We are providing asphalt paving, road networks, curbs and sidewalks, as well as municipal infrastructure work in Eeyou Istchee.
