Eeyou Lumberjack Inc.

Eeyou Lumberjack Inc. was born of the desire and the will of George Natawapineskum and Damas Arsenault, to take advantage of more than ten years of experience and complicity in the realization of forestry work. Concretely, this gave rise, in April 2007, to the first private company Cree having its headquarters in Wemindji.

Moreover, the desire to act as a true actor of community development and to become a privileged partner for the economic and social growth of their community has inspired and still inspire our actions. That is why we are working closely with the tallymen who own the land on which we are called to intervene. It is also in this spirit that we are hiring members of local communities who want to learn forestry skills and get a job in this sector.

Eeyou Lumberjack Inc. gave itself a mandate to carry out forestry work of all kinds, (manual and mechanical slashing, manual and mechanical brush cutting, piling, burning, construction of forest roads...) and in this optic, make use and develop potentials in human, social and professional sectors of the Native communities.

Our interventions are based on environmental friendly practices, both by our methods of work and in concerns for efficiency and respect for our commitments to our customers, our staff and our partners.

In 2016 after partnering with the current parent company-TDC, becoming Eeyou Lumberjack Inc., we now offer short and long-term accommodation services for all companies wishing to work in the James Bay territory. Eeyou Lumberjack Inc. is committed to Native communities and continuously trains, develops and supports its own communities. We aim for the future using skills and competence!
