The Tawich Development Corporation and the Cree Nation of Wemindji decided that it was time to expand the Community Store, in order to:
- Respond to a growing demand for better product and fresher meat, fruits and vegetables into the community;
- To avoid the financial bleeding towards cities neighbouring;
- To allow the community members to have access to goods and services in Wemindji.
- TDC has the community store as a priority and the community members satisfaction as their main goal with this exciting project.
